For the un-initiated, valuescope is a very profitable tipping column in the British newspaper ‘The Mirror’. Since its inception in January 2005, it has amassed over 800 points profit- this year (2007) alone the profit stand at 380 points! Now these are very impressive figures indeed, so I have decided that in 2008 I will follow the selections religiously each and every week in the hope that I will be able to pay for Christmas 2008, which, I may add, is no mean task when you have a wife like mine

The column normally suggests a bet of 2 points Each Way at a conventional bookmakers shop/site but I will be using Betfair (betting exchange) for my bets. I will use £10 per point so if a suggested bet is 2 points EW then I will bet £13 on the win market and £7 on the place market.
